Automation

Automations do your podcast's repetitive work for you. You describe what should happen when something occurs on your show (a booking is confirmed, an episode goes live, a recording is 24 hours away), and PodcasterPlus runs it every time.

Find them under Automations in your podcast's sidebar.

What an automation can do

Every automation starts from a trigger (the event that sets it off) and then runs your steps in order:

  • Send an email to your guest from a reusable template
  • Call a webhook to send data to another tool, like Zapier, Make, or your own service
  • Update a field on the episode, booking, or guest connected to the run
  • Branch with a condition, so different guests get different treatment
  • Wait with a delay before continuing to the next step

Emails and webhooks personalize themselves with magic tags: placeholders like {guest_first_name} and {episode_title} that fill in the real values when the automation runs.

New here? Start with the starters

Every new podcast comes with three ready-made starter automations: a booking confirmation email, a recording reminder, and a "your episode is live" thank-you. They arrive switched off, so nothing sends until you say so.

Switching one on takes a single click and covers the most common guest emails with no building required.

Ready to build your own?

The flow builder is where you create automations from scratch: pick a trigger, click steps into a visual flow, and configure each one. Conditions, delays, webhooks, and field updates are all in there.

How many automations can I have?

The number of active automations depends on your plan, and the Free plan doesn't include active ones. See Plan Limits and Billing and Plans.
