Create a Free Account

You never need an account to use the guest portal. But if you appear on podcasts more than once, a free PodcasterPlus account gives you a home base for all of them. This page covers what you get and how to sign up.

Why Bother?

The signup page puts it like this: "Unlock the full guest experience with a free PodcasterPlus account." With an account, you can:

• Access all your episodes from one dashboard
• Save your bio, website, and social links
• Get notified when episodes go live
• Appear in the PodcasterPlus Guest Network

That last one is worth a second look: the Guest Network is a directory hosts browse when looking for guests, so an account can lead to more podcast invitations.

Create Your Account

1. In your guest portal's header, open the account menu and choose Create Account
2. Fill in the form:
   • Full Name
   • Email Address: this is pre-filled from your guest invitation ("We've pre-filled this from your guest profile"). Keep it as is so your episodes link up automatically.
   • Password: must be at least 8 characters
3. Click Create Account

Confirm Your Email

Unlike portal access (which uses an emailed link), account creation uses a 6-digit code:

1. The page switches to Confirm your email and tells you: "We sent a 6-digit code to" your address
2. Find the code in your inbox and type it into the Verification code field
3. Click Verify & continue

Didn't get it? Click Resend code and check your spam folder.

Your Episodes Link Up Automatically

If you've guested before with the same email, you'll see a welcome notice: "Welcome back! We found N episodes linked to your email!", with a preview of the episodes and a View My Episodes button. Every past and future invitation to that email is attached to your account.

First time? You'll see "Welcome to PodcasterPlus!" instead, and episodes will collect here as hosts invite you.

My Episodes: Your New Home

After verifying, you land on My episodes. If you have a recording coming up, it sits at the top of the page as Next recording, with the date, the show, the time in your own timezone and who is hosting. Two buttons go with it:

• Open episode portal takes you straight in, with no re-verification
• Add to calendar downloads a calendar file you can open in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook or anything else that reads .ics

The calendar entry is one hour long, because we do not know how long your host plans to record for. Adjust it once it is in your calendar if you need to.

Below that, every episode is grouped by podcast, each showing its status (Invited, Active, Completed or Expired) and your role. From here you can:

• Click Open episode portal to jump into any active episode
• Click View episode on completed episodes to revisit them
• Filter by status, or by podcast when you have guested on more than one

An expired episode reads Portal closed instead of a button. Portals close 30 days after the recording date.

New invitations show up here as soon as the host sends them, while they still read Invited. You do not have to open the invitation email first, and you do not have to wait until you have accepted. Invitations sent to your email address before you created your account appear here too.

The Four Tabs

Every account screen carries the same four tabs, with a live count on each:

Tab	What it holds
My episodes	Every recording you have been invited to
Account	Your name, guest profile, Guest Network visibility and preferences
AI clients	Assistants connected to your data. Included on paid plans
Reputation	Endorsements waiting for your decision, and your rating aggregate

A red number on Reputation means a host has written an endorsement and it is waiting for you. Nothing displays publicly until you approve it.

Your name is yours

Once you have an account, the name on your profile is the name hosts see, on every episode and in the published credits. If a host typed something else when they invited you, your profile name replaces it. Change it any time in Account Settings and it updates everywhere.

The Guest Network

With an account, you can opt in to being discoverable by other podcast hosts:

1. Go to Account Settings
2. Fill in your bio, website, and social links
3. In the Guest Network section, turn on Profile Visibility
4. Choose what to show publicly, and optionally enable Protect my email address so hosts only see your email after you accept their invitation

Hosts who find you can send you an invitation with a booking link attached, so you can pick a recording time that suits you.

Where invitations land

Guest Network sits in your sidebar under Discover, whether or not you have a podcast of your own. It carries a red number when a host is waiting on your reply.

Opening it gives you three tabs:

• Directory: everyone who has opted in, including your own listing, marked You
• Received: invitations sent to you. Accept reveals the host's booking link so you can pick a slot, and books nothing by itself. Declining lets you add an optional note explaining why
• Sent: invitations sent from a podcast you belong to, whoever on that team sent them. It stays empty until you belong to one, whether you create it yourself or join somebody else's team

Invitations lapse after 14 days

Nobody is reminded and nothing is sent when one runs out, so an invitation you leave for a fortnight simply closes. Anything close to lapsing carries an amber Expires in 3 days label.

Endorsed before you signed up?

If a host endorsed you before you had an account, their endorsement is waiting for your decision. After you create your account, open the Reputation page in settings to approve or decline it. See Your Reputation as a Guest.
