Your Reputation as a Guest

Hosts you have appeared with can write public endorsements about you and rate you privately. You control all of it: nothing evaluative ever appears on your Guest Network profile without your consent.

Manage everything from the Reputation page in settings: open Account Settings, find the Guest Network section, and click Reputation. Endorsement notifications also link you straight there.

Approve or Decline an Endorsement

When a host writes an endorsement, you get a notification and it appears on your Reputation page under Awaiting your decision, showing the quote, the host's name, and their podcast.

  1. Read the endorsement text
  2. Click Approve to let it display on your Guest Network profile with the host's name and podcast attached
  3. Or click Decline to keep it off your profile permanently

Declining is final for that text. If the host writes a replacement, it appears in your queue again, but you are not notified about it.

Hide or Show an Approved Endorsement

Under Previous endorsements, every approved endorsement has a Hide from profile button, and every hidden one has Show on profile. Hiding is reversible and instant.

If a host edits an endorsement you already approved, it comes off your profile immediately and returns to your queue for re-approval. An approved quote can never change without you seeing the new version.

Your Rating Aggregate

Hosts rate guests privately from 1 to 5, one rating per podcast. Individual ratings are anonymous to you: the podcast that rated you can see and change its own rating, and platform staff can view ratings when handling disputes, but neither you nor any other podcast ever sees a single rating, a rater's identity, or an exact count.

The Your rating aggregate card shows your own average once at least 3 different shows have rated you, displayed the same way it would appear publicly (an average plus a rough count such as "rated by 3+ shows"). Below that threshold, nothing rating-related exists anywhere visible.

Control What Displays

Two switches in Account Settings, in the Guest Network section, control public display:

  • Show endorsements I've approved: on by default, because each endorsement already needed your individual approval. Turning it off hides them all at once.
  • Show my rating on my profile: off by default. Turn it on to display your aggregate and the Highly rated badge once you qualify, on your profile and on your card in the Guest Network directory. Check your aggregate on the Reputation page first, so you know exactly what will show.

Turning off Profile Visibility removes your whole profile from the Guest Network, including all reputation, immediately. Everything returns if you turn it back on.
