Status Glossary

Every status badge in PodcasterPlus, in one place: episodes, bookings, and directory listings. Each entry says what the status means and what moves it forward.

Episode statuses

Episodes show their status as a badge in the episode list and the episode editor.

Draft

The working state. You can edit everything, upload audio, and invite collaborators. A draft isn't visible to listeners.

Moves on when you click Publish Now (goes to Published) or Schedule (goes to Scheduled) on the episode's Publish tab. Externally hosted episodes use Prepare to Publish instead, which starts the publish handoff.

Scheduled

The episode has a publish date and time and will go live automatically when it arrives.

Moves on when the scheduled time arrives (goes to Published), you click Publish Now to go live early, or you click Cancel Schedule (returns to Draft).

Published

Live. The episode is in your RSS feed and on your listen page.

Moves on when you click Archive (goes to Archived) or Unpublish (returns to Draft and clears the publish date).

Archived

Removed from your feed and listen page, but kept with everything intact.

Moves on when you click Republish (returns to Published, keeping the original publish date) or Reset to Draft (returns to Draft for a full rework).

Pending Confirmation

A placeholder episode created by a guest's booking request. It's waiting for you to confirm or decline the booking; the episode editor points you to the booking with Review booking.

Moves on when you confirm the booking (the episode becomes a Draft) or decline it (the placeholder episode is removed). See managing bookings.

Booking statuses

The Bookings board arranges bookings into lanes. Lanes are derived: some moves happen automatically as time passes, without you changing anything.

The lanes

LaneWhat's in it
SentGuest Network invites for this podcast. Informational until the guest books.
PendingBooking requests awaiting your confirmation.
ConfirmedUpcoming recordings on the calendar.
Date PassedRecordings whose time has passed. Mark how they went.
PublishedBookings whose episode has been published. Moves here automatically when the episode goes live.
Declined & CanceledDeclined requests and canceled recordings. Terminal; delete from the card menu.

Pending

A guest requested a time and PodcasterPlus is holding it for your decision. The guest has a request receipt by email; confirmation emails and calendar events only go out once you confirm.

Moves on when you confirm (goes to Confirmed, and the confirmation emails, calendar event, and draft episode land) or decline (goes to Declined & Canceled).

Confirmed

The recording is booked and on the calendar.

Moves on when the slot time passes (the card flows to the Date Passed lane automatically, awaiting an outcome), the episode is published (flows to Published), or you cancel (goes to Declined & Canceled).

Completed and No-show

Outcome stamps you apply to a booking in the Date Passed lane: Completed means the recording happened, No-show means the guest didn't turn up. Until you stamp one, the card shows as awaiting an outcome.

Moves on when you change your mind (you can swap between the two, or clear the outcome back to Confirmed) or the episode is published (flows to Published).

Canceled

Terminal. Declined requests and canceled recordings both land here, in the Declined & Canceled lane. The only remaining action is deleting the booking from the card menu.

Published (booking)

Not a status you set: any live booking whose episode goes live is promoted to the Published lane automatically.

Invite statuses (Sent lane)

Guest Network invites in the Sent lane carry their own badges: Awaiting reply, Accepted, Declined, and Expired. An accepted invite converts into a real booking once the guest books a time.
