Team and Roles
Podcasts are rarely a one-person job. The Team tab lets you invite collaborators to your show and control what each person can do.
To get there, open your podcast and go to Podcast Settings → Team.
The Three Roles
Every team member has one of three roles:
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Host | Full control including billing and deletion |
| Producer | Can manage everything except billing |
| Co-Host | Can edit episodes and view analytics |
A few rules govern who can manage whom:
- Hosts can change anyone's role or remove anyone
- Producers can only manage Co-Hosts
- Only a Host can promote someone to Host
- Nobody can change their own role or remove themselves
Team roles vs. episode credits
Roles control who can log in and work on the show. They're separate from episode credits, which record who appears on an episode. Removing someone from the team doesn't erase their past credits. See People and Credits.
Invite a Team Member
- On the Team tab, click Invite Member
- Enter their Email address
- Choose a Role: Co-Host or Producer (you can promote them later)
- Fill in Personal message (optional) if you'd like a note included in the invitation email
- Click Send Invitation
The invitation email goes out immediately and appears under Pending Invitations until it's accepted.
Team seats are limited by plan
Your plan sets how many team seats your account includes: 1 on Free and Creator, 3 on Studio, 10 on Production House, and unlimited on Enterprise. If you're at the limit, clicking Invite Member opens an upgrade prompt instead of the form. See Billing and Plans.
Accept an Invitation
The invited person clicks the link in their invitation email, which opens a Team Invitation page showing the podcast, who invited them, the role, and the expiry date.
- Log in to PodcasterPlus, or click Log In to Accept. No account yet? There's a Sign up link on the same page
- Make sure you're logged in with the email address the invitation was sent to. If you're logged in as someone else, the page explains the mismatch and offers Log In with Different Account
- Click Accept Invitation
The podcast appears in their sidebar right away.
Manage Pending Invitations
The Pending Invitations card lists invitations that haven't been accepted yet, each with its expiry date. Expired invitations are marked Expired.
- Click the Resend invitation button (paper-plane icon) to send the email again
- Click the Cancel invitation button (X icon) to withdraw it
Change a Role or Remove Someone
In the Current Members list, open the actions menu next to a member:
- Change role opens the Change Role dialog. Pick the New Role and click Save Changes
- Remove from team opens the Remove Team Member dialog. Click Remove Member to confirm; they lose access to this podcast immediately
