When does research actually run?
Automatically, the moment you confirm a guest's booking. You can also run it by hand for any guest with "run research (5 credits)". Either way it runs in the background and notifies you when the brief is ready.
What does it read to build the brief?
The links your guest supplies, rendered in a real browser so JavaScript-heavy sites resolve fully — plus up to two further about, press or speaking pages it discovers on its own. Every source is listed and numbered in the brief.
What's actually in the brief?

Can I stop it touching sensitive topics?
Yes. Your guest's answer to "anything you'd prefer not to discuss?" is a hard constraint — nothing in the brief or the suggested questions will touch those topics.
