Honest numbers.
Ready to hand over.

Downloads counted to the IAB v2.2 guidelines — bots removed, tiny probes discarded, one download per listener per day. No tracking prefixes on your audio. Just figures you can defend in a sponsor meeting.

The flattering dashboard

Most podcast stats are generous. Yours should be true.

Raw request counts make a show look bigger than it is. Tracking prefixes bolt a third party onto your audio. Neither survives a conversation with someone paying you money — so we don't do either.

Every figure here is filtered before you ever see it.

  • Raw hits counted as downloads
  • Bot and crawler traffic left in the total
  • A tracking prefix wrapped around your file
  • Numbers you can't explain to a sponsor
  • One filtered figure, with its method attached
The dashboard

Three numbers first. Then everywhere they came from.

Downloads, peak daily listeners and feed polls sit above the chart. Underneath: the apps, countries and devices behind them, over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, the last 12 months, or all time.

Audience

Where and how listeners downloaded in this range

Range presets

Last 7 / 30 / 90 days, last 12 months, all time. How far back you can look depends on your plan — the data is always collected in full.

Embed attribution

Which websites are actually driving plays.

Sources split your downloads into embed, listen page and direct. Then "Embedded on" names the domains — every external site running your player, ranked. It's first-party attribution, so it needs no pixel and no prefix.

  • See which newsletter, blog or partner site earns its embed
  • Referrers are kept to the domain, never the full URL
  • Available per podcast and per episode
Episode depth

How an episode landed — and who did the talking.

Every episode gets a launch curve with cumulative milestones at day one, week one, month one and quarter, so a release from last week is comparable with one from last year. Talk time reads the transcript and gives you each speaker's share of the conversation.

Counting & privacy

Filtered to the guidelines. Private by construction.

GET requests only. Community bot lists applied. At least sixty seconds of audio at the file's bitrate. One download per client, per episode, per UTC day. Raw request counts are kept alongside the filtered figure rather than hidden — so the gap is yours to inspect.

  • No tracking prefixes

Nothing is bolted onto your audio URLs.

  • No third-party trackers

Measurement is first-party, from our own edge.

  • Raw IPs never stored

Daily-rotating salted hashes make cross-day correlation impossible by design.

  • Domain-only referrers

Enough for attribution, not enough to follow anyone.

Common questions

The things you'd ask before trusting a number.

How exactly is a download counted?

To the IAB Podcast Measurement v2.2 guidelines: GET requests only, community bot lists applied, at least sixty seconds of audio at the file's bitrate, and one download per client per episode per UTC day. Raw request counts are kept alongside the filtered figure, so you can always see the difference.

Do you add a tracking prefix to my audio?

No. Measurement happens first-party at our edge as the file is served. Nothing is bolted onto your URLs, there are no third-party trackers, raw IPs are never stored — daily-rotating salted hashes make cross-day correlation impossible by design — and referrers are kept to the domain only.

Can I see listen-through or completion rates?

Not from downloads, and we won't pretend otherwise — a download tells you an episode was fetched, not how much of it was heard. Real listening data comes from Apple Podcasts and Spotify, so on Studio and up you can import their CSVs into one merged Engagement view, with every figure labelled by source.

What happens to my history if I'm on a smaller plan?

Nothing. Data is always collected in full; your plan only gates how far back you can view it — 90 days on Free, one year on Creator, unlimited on Studio and up. Upgrade and your full history unlocks retroactively.

How do you know which websites embedded my player?

The embed is ours, so the play is measured first-party. "Embedded on" ranks the external domains driving those plays, alongside a Sources split of embed, listen page and direct. Domains only — never the full URL.

Where does talk time come from?

The episode's transcript. Once speakers are tagged, each one's share of the conversation is shown as a percentage and in minutes — a host-versus-guest balance you can actually act on.

Can I share these numbers without giving someone a login?

Yes — that's client reports: a live, read-only, white-label link anyone can open, revocable whenever you like. It's available on Production House and Enterprise.
