Part of Distribution · on every plan

Paste it once. It plays anywhere.

One player, two embeds: this episode, or whatever your newest episode happens to be. It renders inside your own page rather than a walled-off iframe — so it follows your visitors' zoom, their stylesheets and their high-contrast settings.

The iframe tax

Most hosts hand you an iframe and wish you luck.

An iframe is a sealed box. Your visitor's page zoom stops at its edge. Their high-contrast mode doesn't reach inside. Their screen reader treats it as a separate document. And it usually arrives after your text has already laid out, shoving the page down as it goes.

Ours is a web component. It renders in your DOM, inherits the environment your visitor set up, and reserves its exact height before the script even loads.

If your platform strips scripts — hosted WordPress, Notion — the iframe fallback is one tab away in the builder. We'd rather give you the good one first.

No CLS Height reserved up front The snippet declares the player's exact height before the script loads, so your article never shifts under the reader.
No cookies Nothing set on your site The embed sets no cookies on its host page, ever. Not a single byte of audio loads until someone presses play.
Stable Embeds don't rot The snippet references the episode's permanent ID, so renaming an episode never kills a link someone pasted last year.
Pillar one · the player

Everything a listener needs. Nothing they didn't ask for.

A waveform you can scrub with a keyboard and hear your position spoken. A download button that genuinely saves the file. Lock-screen controls on a phone. No chapters, no transcript panel, no subscribe buttons — those belong on your listen page, not in the middle of someone else's article.

Waveform scrubber Seek by dragging, or by keyboard — with your position spoken as you go.
−15s / +30s The two skips people actually use, at a proper touch target.
Speed up to 2× Six steps from 0.75× to 2×, one tap apart.
Download that downloads Saves the file to their device rather than opening a tab and hoping.
Native share sheet Uses the visitor's own share menu, falling back to copy-link.
Lock-screen controls Media Session metadata, so artwork and title appear on the phone lock screen.
Nothing preloads Zero audio bytes until play — your page-speed score stays yours.
Keyboard, properly Focus never gets stranded, even when the player swaps in a recovery state.
Pillar two · the builder

Set it up while watching it change.

Theme, size, colour, waveform — the preview is the player, so what you see is what your visitors get. Per-episode from the Share & embed card on the Publish tab; whole-show from Embed player in Distribution settings. Go on, change something.

Recommended: the player renders directly in your page, so it follows your visitors' zoom, contrast and assistive-technology settings. The min-height reserves its exact space, so nothing on your page jumps.

Pillar three · the whole-show embed

Paste it in 2026. Still current in 2029.

The whole-show embed always plays your newest episode. Put it in your site's sidebar, your about page, your newsletter template's web version — and every future publish updates it, everywhere, without you touching a page.

  • Always the newest episode — one paste, updated forever.
  • Copy the code before you have any episodes at all.
  • Set the colour once on the show; every embed follows unless it's pinned to its own.
  • Flip the branding toggle and pasted embeds update in place.

One episode, latest episode. It isn't a playlist and it isn't an episode list — for the full archive, that's what your listen site is for.

You can copy this before your first episode exists. The day you publish, it starts playing.
Pillar four · attribution

See which pages are actually working.

Plays through an embed are attributed as their own source, alongside your listen page and direct downloads — and the "Embedded on" list names the external domains carrying your player. Useful when a guest's site sends more listeners than your own homepage.

Downloads are counted to the IAB v2.2-aligned standard, the same as everything else. Sources are embed, listen and direct — no listener-level tracking, and the embed sets no cookies on your site, ever.

Common questions

Before you paste it into your site.

What's the difference between the two embeds?

One is pinned to a single episode; the other belongs to the show and always plays whatever your newest episode is. The show embed is the one for a sidebar or an about page — you never have to update it. It plays one episode, the latest: it isn't a playlist or an episode list.

Do I have to use the script embed?

No, but it's the better one. The script renders the player inside your own page, so page zoom, user stylesheets and high-contrast settings all apply. If your platform strips scripts — hosted WordPress, Notion — switch to the iframe tab and paste that instead.

Will it slow my page down or move my content?

The snippet reserves the player's exact height before the script loads, so nothing shifts. No audio loads until a visitor presses play, and the embed sets no cookies on your site.

Can I use my own colour?

Yes, on every plan — set it once for the show and every embed and your listen page follow it. Whatever you pick is automatically adjusted to meet contrast requirements against light and dark backgrounds, so it stays readable. Individual embeds can pin their own colour when one needs to match a particular page.

What happens to embeds if I rename an episode?

Nothing. Embeds reference the episode's permanent ID, not its title or slug, so a rename never kills a snippet someone pasted on their site years ago.

Can I remove the "Powered by PodcasterPlus" footer?

On Creator and up, yes — one toggle on the show, and every player already embedded elsewhere updates instantly. On Free the footer stays, which is a fair trade for a player with no plan gating anywhere else.

How do I know if anyone is listening through it?

Embed plays are attributed as their own source in analytics, with an "Embedded on" list of the external domains carrying your player. Downloads are counted to the IAB v2.2-aligned standard, with no listener-level tracking.
